beansideToday, I am tired. I slept fine, but I woke up really wanting just to snuggle under the covers and nap some more. Honestly, I probably wouldn't have slept that much longer, but a little bit longer would have been nice. Instead,I disturbed the cat and dragged my ass upright.
Maybe a nappy nap after work. Yoda seems to like it when I do that. Or maybe not. I have some steaks to cook. Since the stimulus came in, I got more of the prime rib steaks to make. They're fast and easy and very tasty.
Over the weekend, we went to Outback, and the steak I got was very disappointing. Overcooked, and no real flavor. I asked for medium rare and got medium well. Also, if that was a ribeye, it was the toughest damn ribeye I've ever had. And it just didn't taste good in a post covid way. I don't know why. I've cooked steaks, and they were pretty okay, but this just did not taste good. I'm assuming part of it is the way it was cooked. Unusual for Outback, it didn't taste like they really seasoned it. At least the fried mushrooms were really good.
Work was workish. I did my shit, helped a coworker to get the inbox under control and then worked on a project. I didn't finish it, so I'll probably be working on it today, as well.
It's kind of a shame that Dad's appointment for the vaccine isn't next week. We could have made it a double appointment. Phase 2b starts on 3/30, which includes people with pre-existing conditions. Since they consider obesity a pre-existing condition, my whole family should qualify. I'm a little nervous about the shot, since I have a history of anaphylaxis with antibiotics, but I'm still going to get it. I've never had a problem with any injections, so hopefully this will be the same. I wonder when I should put my name on the county site to sign up?
