Back to work today. Ew. I enjoyed my four day weekend. What will be waiting for me? We'll have to wait and see.

The new med continues to screw with my morning schedule. It has to be taken with minimal water half an hour before you eat, drink, or take any other pills, and that is a pain in the ass. I'm used to getting up and drinking my coffee right off the bat, and when I come upstairs, I'm ready for that coffee, perfectly made with my Starbucks creamer (seriously, that shit is awesome). I'll get used to it, but it's only been a week, so it's taking a little time.

Yesterday, I noticed that the rental fee for Monster Hunter had come down from $19 to $5.99, so I took advantage to see a movie I really wanted to see. I'm a sucker for Paul W.S. Anderson movies, especially since they normally star his hot ass wife, Milla Jovovich who reminds me that I am such a useless lesbian. The Resident Evil movies are a particular favorite, especially the absolutely bonkers second one. (Oded Fehr for whom I will die pissed that he wasn't cast as Dr. Strange.)

Monster Hunter was pretty entertaining, with surprisingly decent CGI. It had the very pretty Tony Jaa, and the always fun Ron Perlman. I swear, Perlman would show up for a fucking store opening if they paid him, but I fucking adore that man. His filmography is such a weird thing. From the awesome stuff like Hellboy and Pacific Rim to shit like this, he's done the gamut of genre movies.

Aside from that, and my morning trip to the Amish market, yesterday was quiet. My allergies have been acting up, so I spent most of it in a bit of a Benadryl haze. (Claritin doesn't do that much for me, and Zyrtec turns me into a zombie for two days with one pill.) I'll have to see what I want to do for work. Sneeze or be slightly stoned? This is the question of the day.

It feels like most of my corner of fandom discovered Perlman in Sons of Anarchy or Pacific Rim, but he’ll always be Vincent to me (even if that series was a textbook case for how not to handle losing half your leading couple, sigh.)
