Back is slightly better today, which is good. I spent all day yesterday and last night with a heat pack which seemed to help some. Hopefully, it will continue to improve today and will be gone tomorrow.
I'm starting a new diabetes med, because my sugar has been higher than I'd like. I'm nervous, since the last time I tried anything but metformin, it made my sugar drop scary low. Still, I needed something, and Rybelsus seems to be a good option. Downside, it can cause stomach issues. I don't really need nausea, so hopefully, it won't be bad. I know I'll be checking my blood sugar regularly to be sure it's behaving and I have an emergency ginger ale in case it gets too low. The other annoying thing is that you have to take it on an empty stomach and not eat or drink for half an hour. Totally doable, but I'm used to having my coffee practically as I'm getting out of bed.
I've been having a hard time adjusting to the time change. I really haven't wanted to wake up at 6am at all. Today, I was semi awake when my alarm went off thanks to cat involvement. Sam was kinda an asshole last night, visiting multiple times to scream in my face for attention. I could technically lock him out, but then I'd be locking out Boodle, who comes in to quietly sleep with us. Plus, knowing Sam, he'd just scratch at the door until I let him in anyway.
Okay, I'm dressed, caffeinated and ready to face the day, I suppose. It's much closer to the workday than normal thanks to the half hour of no eating or drinking, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Gives me less time to sit and get bored.
