For some reason, my back is being a bitch. Not my lower back, which would make sense, my mid back right behind the ribs. Last night, I could barely move, it was sending spasms all the way up into my shoulder, and into my ribs. Breathing deeply made it spasm more. It's a little better this morning, but still tender.
Apparently, the big discourse in the D&D world right now is if lizard people have breasts. There have been no end of posts explaining both why this is necessary (male gaze) and stupid (lizards don't have mammary glands). I'm so tired of lizard tits, people. Can we move back onto the actually entertaining memes? I just want cute shit that I can share with my players.
Is it naptime yet? I slept like a log until about 4am, but I could still nap right about now. More coffee is obviously needed. Also a bowl of Cocoa Pebbles. It's heading towards that time of the month, and I am in full "eat all the things" swing. I had gotten two pounds of sweet Lebanon bologna on Saturday, and it will definitely be gone by Friday. It's just so damn tasty, especially on crackers.
I took off early from work for the next two days, to "prepare" me for my new schedule. (Okay, mostly it's just that I'm lazy as hell.) I have the time, so I might as well use it. I've got no vacation planned this year, because COVID.
Maybe next year, we can do DC again. I enjoyed that a lot, especially staying in Bethesda. I want to go back to the Original Pancake House and have a dutch baby pancake. I also want to eat at the cafeteria in the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian again. I am very food motivated, what can I say? I would also like to go back to the Museum of Natural History because by the time we got there, we were exhausted, and couldn't really enjoy it. Apparently, walking 7 miles is a little bit beyond my natural comfort zone. We'd planned to do dinner after that, but all we had left in us was to limp back to the hotel, and down to the hotel restaurant.
Still worrying about my psych appointment on Friday. I'm hoping he's happy to just leave everything where it is, but I worry that he'll be weird about the Ambien, and without the Ambien, I don't sleep. I like sleep a lot. There's nothing I can do about it now, and it may never materialize. But since I worry like a champ, it's been on my mind.
Next up, more coffee, and eventually work. This time next week, I'll already be logging on! The earlier start time will be so much better for me. My sister leaves for work at 7:15ish, so it'll give me half an hour or so of quiet before I start, which is enough time to type out my morning entry and finish my coffee. Then, I'll get off at 4:30, which is a full hour and a half before she comes home, so I won't have to try to work while the dog loses his happy little mind that she's home. It'll mean getting up a little earlier, but it'll so totally be worth it.
