Yesterday went to plan, and the car has been obtained. I am now good for my appointment with the new shrink on Friday. It still needs either a new gas cap, or a new O2 sensor. I'll try the gas cap first. The stabilizer lights are on, which usually means there's a leak somewhere in the gas lines. The most likely problem is the gas cap, as we've had this once before, and taking the gas cap off and putting it back on tighter helped. If not, the O2 sensor isn't too expensive, thankfully.

The steaks turned out very well, and were exceedingly tender and very large. By the end of it, I was a little uncomfortably full, but happy. My iron levels should be good. Tonight, because they are awesome, Jess is making me chicken with pasta. This is a thing that excites me far more than it probably should.

Work was uneventful yesterday. The new Chicago market is going to be a pain in the ass. So many Not at Home cases. (If a customer is not at home, they call and get a case. I send repeated reminders to the customers, trying to get them to call in to reschedule. If they don't after a five days to a week, I cancel the order.) It's a big market, and I'm beginning to see how much the old company mis-managed it, because it's been less than a week, and this thing is already huge. I'm pretty quick and this is still taking me at minimum over an hour.

We're closing in on 1 year of work from home. I started on March 10, as part of the pilot program to see if it could be done. A few days later, they sent the rest of the staff home, and we've been there ever since. I think it's probably going to be permanent. They're advertising for new people and the job description is strictly work from home. I think the only thing they'll go into the office for is to pick up equipment. I can't say I miss the commute, or the people all that much. I still get to chat with them on Teams, and that's good enough for me. I work better in text anyway. (D&D and MotW aside.) Plus, since our managers are in NY, it's not like we'd have in-person team meetings anyway.

Now, I'm just chugging towards the weekend when we can get the puppers groomed. And next week, I start my new schedule! So excited for it. It'll be nice to get out of work while it's still light out.

yay, mobility! I hope replacing the gas cap does the trick and gets ri of the warning light

I'm now a bit jealous of your steak dinner - that sounds delicious
