beansideMy world is currently white. With more of it expected today. Fortunately, my sister is off work, so no one has to go out in it. I, of course, shall be working, seeing as my commute is only as rough as the path from the couch to my office.
Still no word on the new schedule. Apparently, it also is no word on the new minions' schedule either, so I feel a little better and more hopeful. It may just be a case of the big boss being busy as opposed to no chance in hell of getting the schedule.
Yesterday, I got a lovely project. Calling 35 customers whose orders needed to be cancelled to apologize. (And also cancelling the order and setting up a refund, of course.) We have a new warehouse opening in a couple of weeks, but the orders were sent to it early. Because it's in transition, no orders can be booked right now, so I couldn't even just rebook the orders--they had to be cancelled. Mostly, people were okay about it, and indicated that once the refund processed, they'd reorder, but of course there were a couple of self important assholes. I appreciate that my boss thinks so highly of me that he believes I can save a sale, but damn, that was a pain in the ass. Here's hoping for a quieter day with less phone calls.
There's a jackass outside with a snow blower at 7:30am. This couldn't wait til 9? I suppose if they're an essential worker it makes some sense, but then maybe do it last night?
Having now taken the dog out, the white is a layer of ice on top of the snow. It is not good, and I am not a fan. The dog was likewise not a fan, as he looked bewildered and disgusted the whole time.
