beansideWe made it to Saturday! It's going to be a relatively quiet day for me. The most I have to do is go pick up Jess' prescription from Walgreens. I could take Dad's tablet holder back to Kohls, but we'll see how I feel. I have til Jan 31st, so it's no huge rush. It's very nice that Kohls takes back Amazon purchases, but it's still kind of a pain in the ass. Kohls and I have a long and storied history of me despairing at their fat girl clothes. They're inevitably either boring and basic or terrifyingly ugly. If I want basics, I'll go to Old Navy, who are cheaper. Aside from underwear, I'm wearing 100% Old Navy most days now. It's comfortable, it's economical, and I love their cropped leggings something fierce.
I'll be sad when we go back to work and I have to wear actualfacts pants again. I'm to the point where if everything isn't baby soft and comfy, it's bullshit. Not to mention that I'm going to have to wear a bra again. Ew. I'm probably going to have to buy some jeans before we go back, since most of the ones I have don't fit particularly well. I'm a weird, between size, so I can have too loose, or too tight. Plus size women's clothing is so much fun. (Actually, I think it probably applies to women's clothing, full stop.)
We've been told we're at home until we're told otherwise. I'm thinking at the rate of vaccination, it's going to be at least fall. I'm okay with that. I like working from home. It means that I get cat visits, and regular Jess smooches. And now, with our managers being from NY, it's not like going into work gets us facetime or anything.
So far, I may like this manager better than my original. It might just be because he seems to like me so much, I'm sure that's at least part of it. But I feel like when I said that my goal was to become a manager, he'll do what he can to get me ready for that. I didn't get that from my previous manager. It seemed like she was a little overwhelmed with the team, and didn't have much left to spare for individual members.
