If I have to choose one, I'll take Christmas, both because 'Tis the Season and all that, and because it will round out where things currently are in the story overall and provide a nice solid place from which to launch the next round of messiness. And it's such a perfect venue for Jensen emotional h/c, something I'm a sucker for. However I don't see why there can't also be a bit of the other two options, even if only in an abbreviated or alluded to versions, especially as a lead in to the day itself.

I want it to be Jensen's first Christmas with the boys as I reckon it'll be Jensen's FIRST Christmas. Since he was only four when he was taken into slavery he probably doesn't even remember the pre-slave ones - or if he does he probably imagines they were just dreams.

I like the Christmas idea, but what I really want to see is the start of, or complete, breakdown of Jensen. He's had his walls up the last few chapters, these need to be broken down; Jensen needs to break down and let himself hurt, grieve and just deal with it all finally. Recovery might take a long time, but it's a bit like an addiction. You have to hit rock bottom first.

I love the sound of all of it, but I'm going to agree with others about the J3. Doesn't have to be sex (although that would be really pretty!), it could just be something to show that they're heading that way.

I voted for mating dance because I do so like the mating dance of two strong/wary/lone wolf guys, especially when one knows his mind and the other is scared out of his mind and defensive. Mmmm. Tasty.

Personally, I think it's too soon for J3. Jensen hasn't interacted with enough people, built up relationships with them for himself and not via others as intermediaries, if that makes sense. Also, he needs someone he can trust and identify with to a great degree to teach him the pleasures of sex-but probably not someone he'd have as much invested in or potentially ambiguous reactions to while in the stress of losing himself to pleasure. So, I'm thinking Kane (of course), who's been his anchor in so many other ways. Possibly Jason, who was favorably impressed by Jensen's reactions when they met, who was enslaved long enough to know what he's going through but isn't as damaged, and who's strong enough to take what might be inadvertenly dished out.

That being said, I'd love a happy, scmoopy Christmas with the "family".
