Happy Monday, y'all.
Had a good weekend, though too short as always. Saturday, we did a lot of running, trying to get stuff done. Picked up stuff for the rats, went food shopping, had Thai food for dinner because I was having a severe Pad Thai craving. We went to Blockbuster, but they didn't have anything that looked good to me. Next week, of course, 300, Hot Fuzz and Pathfinder come out. Then, while we were at the food store, Jess noticed that there was a familiar face on the Redbox display.
So, with a little searching, we ended up at McDonalds and got Jam and Bloodrayne.
Bloodrayne was what I expected. Cracktastic, with some breathtakingly shitty acting and casting. But hey, Michelle Rodriguez and Kristianna Lokken were hot. *shrug*
Jam kinda surprised me. No plot to speak of, just people interacting while stuck in traffic. I really found myself enjoying it, though. And kinda feeling for a few characters.
But of course, the highlight for me was Jeffrey. Hot. Like. Burning. I swear. Every time the man showed up onscreen, it was like the temperature in the room went up five degrees. I forget somehow, between times of seeing him how utterly devastating he can be on film. I mean, pictures are hot, but when he's talking and moving, I just want to climb that man like a tree.
If you get it out, make sure to check out the Deleted Scenes, which features two extra scenes of Jeff's. One is scripted, and very sweet, the other is him and the kids playing his children just dicking around, singing a song about being stuck in a traffic jam. So dorky and cute and awesome. It just made my uterus clench with Glee.

Date: 2007-07-30 02:46 pm (UTC)We watched a surprise sleeper this weekend. The Libertine, with Johnny Depp. No idea what your feelings on the man are, but this was a pretty damn good flick. John Malkovich did his usual superb job and was one of the producers.
