SPN: 2x22, Or, Oh Dean

So, it's the morning after, and I'm sitting here, trying to find the words.

But all that comes to mind is "Oh, boys. Y'know, there were parts I didn't adore, and could nitpick, but I don't care. Because I loved the show overall, and so I'm willing to sit back, wait for Season 3, and go along for the ride. Kripke hasn't let me down yet overall.



So, I'd consider myself a John girl first, then a Dean girl. Sam's pretty close up on Dean, though.

That said, my GOD Padalecki was hot tonight. Mmmm...

Goddamn, I LOVE Samuel Colt. Motherfucker was crazy. The giant Devil's trap was awesome, and a nice callback to last season.

Oh, Dean. The scene of him talking to Sam's corpse...Jesus. That was just an owie.

Oh, fuck. Dean, Sammy's going to kick your ass. Hey, hot demon. *leers* Damn, she's a bitch. I kinda love it.

Jensen totally ruled my soul tonight. The desperation with the demon, his utter love of Sammy...Jesus. Rip my heart out you bastard.

Okay, I might actually be a John girl, then a Bobby girl Cause, goddamn. *flail* I love Bobby!! (and damn, he's still grieving for John, isn't he.)

Also, the demon...nnngh. I have such a kink for snarky evil. Mmmm... Kinda hot. And I approve of his urge to shove the boys against walls and whatnot.

Wow, Jake dead. Really really dead. Go Sammy. The doubletap to the head was especially nice. All those who think that Sam just kinda figured out what was going on? *raises hand*

Damn. That's a lot of demons.

Eeee! Hey, Jensen managed that dive over the gravestone. Niiice. Always good when you can do it in one shot, so you can see that it was the actor. Thumbs up, dude.

Uh-oh. Demon. Eeee! Are you sure that you brought back something that's all Sam? *flail*

Sam! Now would be a good time to use those powers!

Oh, holy fuck. JOHN!!!

You do not want to fuck with John Winchester's boy. Because his daddy? Is fucking insane. Go John! Even dead and in hell, he will crawl his ass out to save his Dean. (and he will look expotentially hotter than when he went into hell.) Nnngh.

Oh, Dean! You did it! You killed it! And Daddy is proud of you. And a touch exasperated. And the look he gave Sammy...he didn't even have to say "you take care of him." Or "I love you." Sam's little nod said it all.

And then...John poofs off to...wherever. And Dean maybe understands something Sam tried to explain earlier this season. "Where do you think he is now?" "I don't know." But Dean knows what he'd like to think, and hey, hope's kinda the point.

And then...oh, Sammy. I love you like the fire of a thousand suns. You are the awesomest little brother that ever lived. *flail*

"We've got work to do." Oh, boys! Oh, show! *sniffle*

Yes indeed. John Winchester is the first person to come out of hell looking even better than he did when he went in. Stubborn SOB that he is.

I'm gonna miss Daddy Winchester. But I do agree we have Bobby ... and that verbal smack down he threw at Dean in the junk yard was wonderful.

You know, I went into this thinking no way could they top last years finale, and DAMNED if they didn't.

Its about time Sammy finally figured out that dean need protecting too, and stopped the spoiled brat routine. Loved that Dean got to kill the YED too, and what he said about it being for his mom was just perfect.

Man its going to be a long summer, but I guess thats what fic is for.

Like when Sam comes back, and they have pizza, chinese food, chicken in a box all on the table because neither of them have eaten for days :D

And, "Well check that off the to do list!" LMFAO

I also loved the anti-emo stuff, where Dean was asking Sam if they could just enjoy it for once.

And, "That's for our mum, you son of a bitch."

So. Freaking. Good.

And Bobby was a champ, out in the yard.

Bobby might possibly rule too. He's like the surrogate John. I adored the verbal ass-kicking he gave Dean in the junkyard. And the face grab. Oh Dean. Now I have visions of Bobby singing "Self Esteem is for everyone" from the puppet!Angel ep. *g*

But yeah. Papa. With the crawling out of hell to save his boy. And the hand to shoulder squeeze, and the look. The "I love you, what the hell am I gonna do with your dumb ass" look.

It's kind of sad that when Dean agreed to go to hell to save Sam I was thinking, YAY! Dean and Dad will be together again...
