It snowed again! Whoo. Doesn't seem to be much this time, maybe an inch. I'm sure it's enough that Yoda will be Displeased. I don't know whether it's the cold, or if it's the salt they use at the apartments, but he's been just holding a paw up and screaming like someone stabbed him. He has booties coming today, though we have no idea if we can get them on him.
Work has been super busy as people try to hold up their new years "healthy me" resolutions. I have scheduled more mammograms in the last week, I swear. Hopefully, this morning will be a little less busy. I've got two games scheduled practically back to back after work, so it's going to be a busy day.
Nesting goes apace. The apartment is starting to feel a little like home. My body is definitely appreciating that I don't have to haul my fat ass up the stairs when I first wake up.
The dog is slowly improving with his overall barky-ness. And we've been able to keep him quiet during the evenings, which should help. We've met a few neighbors, one of whom was delighted to meet Yoda.
I put a sign on the door, and she apparently thought he was the cutest thing. She says that she hasn't heard him barking at all. So that's good.
Choose 20 books that have stayed with you or influenced you. One book per day for 20 days, in no particular order. No explanations, no reviews, just covers.

I keep checking to see if my W-2 has come in, so I can do my taxes. So far, no luck. I could really use the extra $$ right now. Moving is expensive, and every day it seems like I'm finding new things we need.
In other money news, apparently, there's another retirement account of my late uncle's that we didn't know about, which we are going go get some of. No clue how much yet. The apparent problem is that when the financial dude retired, the account wasn't turned over to his successor. So it's just been sitting there, without us knowing about it. They're talking to legal now that they've made contact with all the beneficiaries to see what needs to be done. I'm hoping this one doesn't need probate, too, because again, money is tight.
My platonic ideal would be $60k for my sister and I. That would let me pay off my car, and some bills, maybe have a little vacation and a little cushion. My sister thinks it's more than that, but we'll see.
Okay, time to consider getting ready for work. Everyone have an excellent Saturday!
