A little fun music for a foggy Sunday. It's from the Disney's Descendants 2, which has some really good bops. So did the first one, for that matter. I haven't watched the whole movies, but I've enjoyed the soundtracks.

Yesterday was kind of a wash. I called the apartments at 10am to make sure that they were good for us to come around 12:30 and see the apartment, and no. Apparently, it took longer to get it refreshed than expected, and the cleaners just finished Friday afternoon. It was after the manager of the complex had left, and he needs to do his walkthrough to make sure that everything is good. And of course, he doesn't work weekends, so he'll be doing it Monday. We could come over then, but only up to 4:30pm. Which, of course, is when I get off. So I would have to leave work early to do that. Which doesn't seem a very worthwhile course of action, when I could not use up more of my PTO and get the keys the next morning at 8am.

So, our walkthrough is going to be "here's your keys, go check it out."

I was really bummed that we couldn't go see it, but it was probably also good, as I wasn't feeling that hot yesterday. Nothing major, just nauseous and blah. I had my normal egg in the morning, but then nothing more til 2:30, when I went to the local A-Mart and got so much ramen. I had to try the topokki (tteokbokki), which advertised as being in a sweet and spicy sauce. They did not lie on either count. I ate them all. Because I love those little rice cakes. I also have cheese topokki, so I'm looking forward to trying them.

Choose 20 books that have stayed with you or influenced you. One book per day for 20 days, in no particular order. No explanations, no reviews, just covers.

I'm not going to talk about that particular book, but I will say, if you've not read T. Kingfisher (Aka Ursula Vernon), you're missing some delightful literature. Mind you, some of it will make you wonder wtf happened to said author to make her brain this twisted, but overall, they're amazing and fun, and have eminently practical heroines and heroes. There's rarely if ever an idiot ball to advance the plot. I highly recommend the Clockwork Boys series, or the Saint of Steel. Or, if you want a slightly fractured fairy tale, Nettle and Bone or A Sorceress Comes to Call are amazing. (All the child abuse trigger warnings on Sorceress, though.)

Today, I have absolutely nothing planned. Depending on the weather, we. may make a trip to the clothes bins, and maybe to Savers to drop of the bags of purses my sister is getting rid of. And if we do that, we might head over to the storage unit and start pulling shit out. If possible, I'd like to get it cleared out of the unit by 12/31, so I don't have to pay January's rent. But we'll see what we can do.

Okay, going to sign off here and maybe have another almond cookie. Everyone have an amazing Sunday!
