Today is gonna suck. We had a lovely day out yesterday to come home and find that the air conditioning had yet again died. For those playing along, it's been less than 6 weeks since they fixed it. They can't come out til Monday, so it's going to be two sucky days. At least we have a small window unit and fans to spread it around so it shouldn't get quite as dire as it did last time when we had nothing, I hope. Also, the dog was groomed a couple of weeks ago, so not quite as much hair as last time. Still, it's going to be shitty and I'm not looking forward to it. The AC tech will be coming on Monday, which is better than it was last time.
Up until our arrival home, we had a great day. We drove down to Takoma Park to have lunch with![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
coyotegestalt and werylady, which was lovely. We tried out Kin Da which had amazing food. The pad Thai, was really good, and they put a ton of shrimp in it. We had a wonderful lunch, and followed it up to a bookshop visit, which is always awesome. I found a few that I want to add to my library list, since I have already used my allotment of book money for the month.
I was a touch worried about the drive and traffic, but it was a quiet day on the DC beltway, and we got there quickly, despite googlemaps being a bit of a twit, and taking us a little bit of a convoluted way, and having a few "Turn now!" You mean into the bushes? No thank you. DC seems to always confuse it. But, with a couple reroutes, we made it where we were supposed to be.
Today, it's back to work, with a fan directly on my face. I will again be running around in a tank top and underwear, because fuck clothes. Tonight, we have a game, Secrets of the Drow thatpoisontaster is running, so that's something to look forward to. We were mid-fight when we stopped, and things were looking dicey, so it'll be fun to get back into it. I'm playing a particularly fighty wizard, so I'm down a few hit points, but not horrible. He's been mostly behind the big strong minotaur fighter (who is down to 2 hit points), then popping between his legs to breathe his breath weapon on the enemies. Fortunately, I took Artificer adept, so I have some minor healing spells that I can do to be helpful, and my initiative is highest, so I can heal the minotaur before he goes down.
Okay, time for me to get my ass in gear now. Everyone have a perfectly lovely Sunday!
