I am up way earlier than I expected to be, or wanted to be. However, starting around five, a kitty decided she wanted food, and that was that. I laid in bed for a while, but after six thirty she got more persistent and I finally gave in at seven. You would think the poor little waif was starving for how she carried on. But no, she had a full bowl of dry food to tide her over, but she wanted the wet food and by god, she was going go get it.
I am happy to report that poor little starving kitty has been fed. She was very pushy about it, too. Was putting her little feets up on my leg while I was getting it ready and all.
Yesterday was exhausting. First, we took the dog to the groomer, then, we hurried home to be there in time for Dad's tele-visit with his primary care...who was of course, running over 30 minutes late. On one hand, that was good, because I, like a dumbass, had scheduled the dog and dad's appointments for the same time. On the other, I specifically dropped the dog off early, and rushed home, stressing the whole way because there was traffic, only to wait. And wait.
His appointment went fine. I got chastised for not getting his bloodwork done, and a referral to an ortho for his knee, which has been bothering him. We're good for another month.
Then, it was time to go fetch puppy, and once that was achieved, time to go get Dad's prescription, take it to the pharmacy and wait for it.
Finally, I came home and laid down for a while, but my brain would not let me sleep. I had such a bitch of a headache for a while there. I was afraid I'd have to cancel D&D. Eventually it eased up, and we had game!
Can I just mention how much I'm loving my new computer? The display is really good for my shitty eyesight, much better contrast. It even let me boost it a little, so everything is really sharp. It's also nice and fast, and when I went on discord audio on it, it was so clear! And best of all, I didn't have to drain my phone battery to play. I have not named it yet, still debating on that. My last Apple product was my ipad, which I named Wanda after the Scarlet Witch. I need an equally good name for this. I will think on it.
I have a few things to redownload still, but nothing egregious. Just some stuff I need before the MotW game next weekend. I don't usually use the source books, but I like to have the basics. Aside from that, there was a lot in my download file that I didn't use much.
Last night, we had a lovely one shot game. Went a little bit longer than I expected it to, and I nearly killed a character, but overall, it went well, and I think a good time was had by all. Now I need to decide whether I want to do a follow up next weekend. I pulled from the Adventurers League games, and there's a whole series, so that's like 14 one shots I could run at any given time when we have some down days, and I believe the next two Fridays are empty, so that's a possibility.
I will think on it.
Okay, for now, we have a game with Jess' friends at 12, so I had better start prepping my shit. Everyone have a wonderful Saturday!
