So, yesterday sucked. We got home and everything was good, we handed out presents, and then Sam toddled out and...he just was not doing well. ( TW: euthanasia )
Jess found an old 20 second clip of him purring and I listened to that like four times and cried. Crying was definitely the name of the game yesterday. I'd be fine and then a wave of grief would well up.
Today, I have nothing planned. Jess has to go get their driver's license renewed, and I might go get the emissions done on my car. I'm late, and if I don't get it done by Saturday, they'll suspend my registration. I'm good at procrastinating, what can I say? Maybe we'll have time to watch something. We watched The Batman on Saturday. We had to pull the light blocking curtains all the way across and turn off all the lights to have a chance at seeing anything, but overall, I liked it. It was entertaining, and I enjoyed Pattinson as the bat. I just wish it was slightly better lit, since there were a few scenes that I could not see shit.
Not looking forward to going back in the office on Thursday. Actually, kind of dreading it. I'll deal, of course, since there's no other choice. And at least it's just one day a week. I'm planning to take a Covid test on Wednesday, just to be sure, since no one was masked in Pennsylvania. Literally, we saw 7 people wearing a mask during the whole 3 days. We were, of course, but it was a little disheartening, especially since Pennsylvania's transmission rate is higher than Maryland's.
I shall now go forth and think really hard about pants. No guarantee I'm going to put them on, but I'll think about it. Have the best Monday you can!
