So this year, I’m going to try to post more. I think I said that last year, too. It kinda fell by the wayside. But, I shall try.
Part of the problem is that I don’t exactly have an exciting life. I go to work, come home, help take care of Dad, go to bed, get up and do it all again.
Work is work. I have a new role, same pay, just a different department. It’s not terribly stimulating. Mostly, it’s working spread sheets. I don’t hate it or anything. I just was hoping for something more interesting. More vital? I know it needs to be done, but it’s not something that affects day to day operations. Still, it pays well, and the benefits are really good.
One thing we have been doing before bed is listening to actual-play tabletop RRG podcasts. We’re up to date on both the Adventure Zone and Rusty Quill Gaming, bot of which I highly recommend. Rusty Quill was my first podcast, and it holds a fond place in my heart. Alex, the GM, has an incredibly soothing voice, and I’ve fallen asleep to him many a night. (That sounds like it bores me, but no. I’m just on ambien.)
We’ve just started Dungeons and Daddies, which despite the name is not a BDSM podcast, but another Actual Play podcast. So far, it seems entertaining enough.
