Damn, you can tell that allergy season has begun. I want to scratch my eyes out in a big way. Ah well, will take some Claritin when I get home, and I'll feel better.
Am planning a nice, easy weekend, with little planned aside from at least one long walk with my baby. Poor Jess is getting her next presentation ready for Monday. She'll do fine, but I know she hates public speaking. Whereas I would much rather do an oral presentation than write a report, because I'm a loudmouth. *grin*
We're debating going on a late night dance cruise tonight, if there are any openings. It would be fun, I think, and with the Entertainment book, it's buy one, get one free. It'll be the perfect night for it, too. Otherwise, maybe the Sunday brunch cruise. It's just such a nice weekend, I want to do something fun. I'd say that we should go downtown, and do the bar thing, but that will be when we have the money to have a car pick us up and take us home, or when someone else is driving. (Or, when we have a hotel room, and don't have to drive.) But, if we're on a boat, I can have a glass of wine, and enjoy the scenery as we dance, and not feel gyped.
I'd also like to spend some time tomorrow getting the yard in shape. I'd like to start ripping up the sod around the lilac bush to make my little sanctuary. I'm not going to get a garden this year, that much is obvious. Hey, my shoulder got fucked up at the wrong time, no one's fault, it'll just have to wait. So, in the meantime, I still want my little summer area. And that much, I think I can do. We're going to rip up the sod, and lay down sand, then put paving stones on top of it, in a little patio shape. Then, there'll be a stone or wood path to it, and a couple 1/2 barrel planters with a few herbs and flowers with a"stone" bench and birdbath.
Am currently having total "squee" moments looking at the pictures from the premiere of "13 Going on 30." First of all, Jennifer Garner looks amazing. White spaghetti strap dress=of the good. Workouts for the Electra movie=mrrrow. Plus, it looks like a bunch of the Alias people showed up for the movie and/or afterparty. *grin* So far, we've got Carl Lumbly(Dixon), Bradley Cooper (Will), her boytoy Michael Vartan(Vaughn), and, in a horribly squee moment, SpyDaddy, Victor Garber. Damn, I find that man disturbingly hot. I think it has a lot to do with the Jack character, but still.
And now, I shall do some actual work, I guess. Don't really wanna but oh well.
Oh, and see the new icon? It needs words. Any suggestions?
