beansideIt's Wednesday, and my last day at work for the week! It's also one day to Jess' surgery! 1 day! It's so exciting!
We leave tonight to go down to the hotel near Sibley. As of right now, we're due to the hospital at 10am. Knowing me, and how anxious Jess is, we'll be there at 9:30am at the very least. There's still a chance that the time changes, but we'll see. I'd like it to be closer to 8am, but we'll deal.
The brother in law was over last night. He's so adorably excited about this trip. We're trying to get him to tell us if there's something he wants to see, but he seems content to just go with the flow, and be carried in our wake. But it's really cute how happy he is to be asked to go.
I think for Juneau, we're going to get a car service for like 2 or 3 hours, and go to the Mendenhall Glacier, then come back and go on whale watching. I'd like to be able to see the town, and the glacier, and maybe go to somewhere for lunch.
Skagway is pretty well planned. There's not a ton I want to see there so we'll probably just see the town, and do the Railroad, then go back to the ship.
I'm really excited about our glacier day. We're not doing Glacier bay, instead the Dawes glacier and Endicott Arm. I watched a video of it, and it seems super pretty on the way in and the glacier, with its blue tint is phenomenal.
Then Ketchican, where we're taking the free town shuttle out to the totem park and visitor's center, and then back to creek street. We may take the Ghosts and Good Time Girls walking tour, but we'll see.
I think I'm going to get magnets from each port. I might get a t-shirt as well, but I have decided on magnets, so every time I open the fridge door, I get a little happy.
Of course, I also need to start thinking about what to do in Vancouver and Seattle. We have from 10:30-6pm in Seattle, and a full day in Vancouver.
Part of my list is to see the Pacific Ocean, which I have never seen before. Maybe dip my toes in it. We'll see.
My packages are being a pain. The first was supposed to come yesterday, but USPS said that the location was unavailable. I have no idea wtf that means. It better come early today. I want to take it to DC. The Lands end is also coming today, but I have little faith in that. UPS has sent my poor package all over. The rest are coming on Thurs or Friday.
Okay, time to go forth and get my shit together. Everyone have an awesome Wednesday!
