beansideIt's Monday again! At least for me it's a short week. I work 3 days, and then we have Jess' surgery, which will be it's own challenges, but not work.
Yesterday was again a quiet day. I did jack all. I lounged around like a princess and fucked around online. We watched a video or two about Alaska, and that was it. I was a giant lump.
The BIL called yesterday for help getting onto a streaming service. (Technology is not his friend.) While he and my sister were talking, he mentioned that he's got a list of things he needs to buy for the trip. It sounds like he's all in. He's very excited, which I thought was cute.
I also made a list of what I want to take. I don't need to get as much as I thought. A couple more fleece vests, and maybe a puffer vest in case it's not too cold. I also have to get a good raincoat with a hood. Sadly, the one I ordered from Old Navy has no hood. I want to get new undies and a pile of socks. Oh, and a pair of sandal slides for the thermal spa and pool.
Jess is another thing entirely. We don't really know what they'll need. A raincoat, definitely. Puffer vest, maybe? We're going to have to wait to get stuff until the newly removed boobs have settled. We don't really know their actual size, since we've always had to account for them. I'm thinking this drops them to an XL or maybe a L. Plus some people who have had top surgery mention that they get colder easier with out the insulation, so we may have to take that into account.
We did get them their waterproof carry on/excursion backpack. So that's something done. IT should fit the camera and an extra layer if we need it.
I do need to get some long sleeve shirts. I've got one coming today from Universal Standard. I had a really good coupon, plus labor day sale. It I like it, I might be able to get one per pay, because they're really expensive. But their clothes are supposed to be really durable and well made, so we'll see.
My Lands End order continues to be delayed. I want my frigging robe, dammit and Jess' pajamas. Putting on my patience pants is not my strong suit.
Okay, time to finish up for the morning. Gotta get ready for work. Have a bit of a headache, so that'll be fun. Everyone have the best Monday you can Monday!
