Hey, I managed another non Marvel movie! Many many years ago, Jess got me into Oingo Boingo, and I fell in love with Danny Elfman's music. This came out with the movie wanted, and I immediately loved it. (Sadly not so much with his more recent stuff.) I wrote a lot of porn with that man in it. Probably lost in the wayback machine like most of my older fic, but that's okay. It's somewhere on my Livejournal.
It's Saturday! I'm up early because I have to take the doggo to his grooming. He definitely needs it. Looks like a freaking puff ball at the moment. I'm hoping it goes quickly, because we have a game at 12:30. If not, we can go get him on our bio break at 2. He's an angel for them, so I'm not worried about leaving him for an extra 90min if he's not ready before game.
Game day is finally here! I'm very excited about this one. We shall have ship to ship combat to start, and then onto the undersea kingdom. Yesterday, I spent time putting a bunch of characters into the Kanka, and marking them private. I'll reveal them as the session goes on and they meet people. I think this is going to be a good session. I've prepped my ass off, and I am ready for whatever the players throw at me. (I'm totally not, the players never fail to come up with something I didn't plan for.)
Aside from that, not much going on. After game, I will bake some cookies maybe.
Yesterday's meeting went well, but I was boggled that out of 8 leads and managers, not one knew that you could make multiple outlook templates. They were very impressed, it was like I was giving the gift of fire to the mortals. The big boss said they needed to shake me to see what fell out of my clever brain. Apparently, I'll be presenting that at the team meeting, so that people can set up their templates. *boggle*. How the fuck did these people work with outlook so long and not notice that?
I'm trying to think what other tricks I use for work. That's really the only one that I don't think other people use. But if I think of something, I will definitely bring it up.
I spent a lot of time the last two days fixing people's messes. They come to me for "sensitive" issues. Like patients being scheduled at the wrong site, or patients who scheduled themself at sites where the machine can handle up to 350lbs, and they're 400, or just pissed off, difficult patients. I'm the closer. If I can't settle them down, no one can.
According to my Quality person, my bosses have been spreading the good word of me. When they have their meetings to go over the people she oversees, they sing my praises. Which is kind of cool. Even the people above our dept know about me, because sometimes, they send the emails that are for pissed off patients. And so far, 100% of the time, I've been able to send back a reply that says "I spoke with the patient and explained the situation. They're still not thrilled, but they understand why they can't be seen at that time. I was able to find a sooner appointment, and have alerted Financial to start auth. They will sign a waiver if it's not approved in time."
Okay, time for me to go forth an grab a shower before I take the dog to see Miss Robin. My hair is doing unfortunate things. Everyone have the very best Saturday!
