It's Thursday! Or Friday Eve, if you prefer. I woke up at 5:20 and had to go to the bathroom so bad that I just got up. I'm not sure when my sleep schedule started to creep backwards, but it's annoying. My alarm is set for 6, dammit. Why can't I just stay asleep til then?!?
Yesterday was a rough day. The dog was a little barky and generally restless, and it's making me anxious. I know that it's unlikely that anyone's going to make a noise complaint in the first few days, but the worry persists.
My sister just got up, and was talking about how she walked into the apartment and didn't feel defeated, like there's just too much to do and no energy to do it. She did the dishes last night, and helped clean up after dinner.
I made breakfast for dinner last night, pancakes and bacon. It was so nice to be able to cook two things at once. Bacon in the oven, and pancakes on the stove. The Member's Mark pans continue to impress, and have more than made up for the Sam's club membership I got to buy them.
Tonight, I'm going to make a pot roast with carrots and mashed potatoes. I wish I had some wine, but alas. I'll make do without. I do still have fresh thyme, so I'll be putting a bunch of that, plus a bayleaf in. I think it'll be very good. I'm excited to use the cast iron dutch oven, even though it's going to be heavy as shit.
I'm really enjoying making actual meals. It's a welcome change from just throwing something in the oven and having it by itself.
Choose 20 books that have stayed with you or influenced you. One book per day for 20 days, in no particular order. No explanations, no reviews, just covers.

I feel like I'm very boring right now. I'm hardcore nesting, and not doing a whole lot interesting. I mean, it's interesting to me, but to anyone else, probably not.
I think the last big delivery is coming today. It should be the fireplace cabinet. Once we build that, the TV will no longer be on the floor! Yay! I'm not sure we can get the fireplace in it, though. That fucker weighs nearly 100lbs. Might be difficult and have to wait for the brother in law to get over his head cold.
We played Blades in the Dark last night. I don't know that I was at my best, but it was nice to play in the new apartment.
Okay, going to go grab my pills and fill my new pill case! We shall be organized in every way! Everyone have a wonderful Thursday!
