First work day in the apartment is done. It went okay. Yoda was a little barky, to the point that I put up a little flyer on our door about him.. I'm hoping people will feel sorry for him and cut us some slack. Work was absolutely slammed with people cancelling their appts because of the snow. That continued for most of the morning. Then, after lunch, the calls just stopped coming in. I ended up taking 51, but 40 of those were before 12:30pm.

With the new apartment, we've made some rules. No shoes beyond the hall tree, no eating in the living room, and when we eat dinner, we eat together.

So far, aside from being paranoid about every sound Yoda makes, it's been really pleasant. I like eating together, even if it feels a little weird and June Cleaver-y. Yesterday, when I got off work, I put two pans on the stove. One had milk, one had water. I made some very nice cocoa, and some tortellini for dinner. Tonight, Chicken and spinach over pasta. (I'm leaning heavy on the pasta this week. It's been so long since we had a stove to cook it on that it's nice.) Tomorrow, I'll probably do breakfast for dinner, and have pancakes and bacon. (The bacon is getting cooked in the oven.) Beyond that, I have no idea.

Yoda is still getting into his groove, and the cat has decided that nighttime is the right time to be a complete menace. I think I slept maybe four hours last night, if that.

Still, things are going really well, and I love our new apartment. It almost feels real.

Okay, time to go get myself together for work. Debating grabbing a shower, but we'll see. Tummy's a little pissed with me right now, so I might wait to see how that shakes out first.
