How did it get back to Monday so quickly?!? My sister is off today on account of BIL's birthday, so it's just me up this morning. Very quiet. It's nice. No real plans today aside from work and probably popping antianxiety meds. Though that's likely to be my pastime for the next few days until the election's decided.
Yesterday was fun. We had a morning game, headed by
coyotegestalt who let me play a slightly off the rails subclass. I'm thoroughly enjoying it, and am looking forward to using one of my other big features during the boss battle, which will not be until December. Our calendar is a little bit bonkers. Just jam packed full of games.
After that, we relaxed for a bit, and then watched part of Ghost's movie from earlier this year, Rite Here Rite Now. I have a lot of music to learn before July! Plus, they may be releasing an album!? On the plus side, I like their sound, so it's not a huge hardship. We only got about an hour into the 2+ hour concert/lore video, but so far it's been pretty entertaining. Ghost is a very theatrical band, ala Alice Cooper, but Swedish and very into Satan in a somewhat campy way. Their music is a blend of metal, rock and some pop, and entirely enjoyable. There's very much a "look how naughty we are" vibe from some of the music. For Music Monday, I give you their version of Enter Sandman, done for a Metallica tribute album and benefiting Camp Aranu'tiq, which is a camp for transgender/nonbinary youth. So, y'know, not assholes either.
After that, we listened to a half of a live show of Adventure Zone, which was hilarous. "I'm dressed as a Minion, of course I didn't bring weapons." "Juice, seriously thank you for this amazing gift you have given me as DM." I laughed out loud on several occasions, one of them being that exchange. Poor Jess dozed off early, and kept being woken up by me barking out a laugh.
I continue to get more anxious about the election. And I'm trying to get myself in the mindset that I'm not going to know anything for days, but goddamn, I want to know immediately.
I did see that Madame VP has come out for marijuana legalization. That might win her a few votes. (That would make vacations so much easier, if we didn't have to worry about taking pot over state lines.).
But in short, only my Vyvanse and Hydroxyzine is keeping me together this week.
For now, it's time to get myself together for work and see why Boodle is singing the song of her people. Everyone have the best Monday you can have!
