beansideI am very tired today. I stayed up late last night (for me) watching the Answer the Call 2024, which was a zoom call organizing white women to get off our ass and show up for Kamala Harris.
They had a lot of good speakers and they didn't bullshit, taking us all to task for sitting on our ass for Hillary. I was pleased at the accountability factor. Ultimately, I didn't have much in common with most of the speakers aside from being a white woman, but it was nice anyway.
I would like to do more, honestly. I've thought about volunteering. I've thought about getting merchandise and repping for her. But I'll be honest, I'm a little afraid to. The other side is unhinged, and I don't want to put my family in danger. I feel a little ashamed by that. I should be brave, but I'm really not.
It is Friday, which means that work will be fairly slow. And after work, my team is doing a get together down at R House, so that'll be some socializing. Dunno if Jess is going to be up to coming with. They had a tetanus shot yesterday, so they're kinda blah today.
Tomorrow, I agreed to work for someone, so more OT, then game, then Deadpool and Wolverine. Then collapse.
I was watching a video on youtube about Portugal's street food, and one of the things was a cocktail with white port wine, tonic and fruit, and good lord, I want. I ordered the wine and tonic, which I'll pick up today after work.
Okay, time for me to get myself together for work. Everyone have an amazing Friday!
