It's Saturday, and I did a dumb thing. I've been watching all the videos about Porto, Portugal to see if that would be somewhere we might want to live in the future. In just about all the videos, the youtuber goes on a food tour and ends up at a winery, where they try the locally created Port wine. I'm definitely a sweet wine girl (though I almost never drink) so it sounded amazing. And last night we had game, and I had gotten a few things for game, I had chipped beef, serranno ham, crackers and olive tapenade. And it occurred to me that a thimbleful of nice sweet sipping wine would be nice.

My order got cancelled because the store couldn't fulfill it, and I assumed it was a sign. But wine sounded good to my sister, so she put in an order. And she did not read the info, so we have a gallon jug of port wine. I didn't have it until after our break, but goddamn, it was good. The other thing about port wine is that it's got a higher alcohol content than most sweet wine. I drank about a 1/4 of a cup, and was feeling it. Mind you, I'm a total lightweight, because I drink once in a blue moon. It's definitely made 6am more of a challenge this morning. It's a very good thing that work will be slow today. Honestly though, no regrets. It was so tasty.

Jess signed up for a training course for medical transcription. It'll take about a year to complete, and will supply books and equipment as well. They're very nervous about it, but I know they're going to do great. We're going to get them all set up to be a professional. There's a website you can freelance off oft that lets you do as little or as much as you want. Kind of like Rev, but for medical transcription. That'll be good if Dad is still around. Or if they want, when he's gone, they can apply with one of the bigger companies and get steady contracted work.

Today, I shall work, and then we'll probably go somewhere for lunch. No clue where. Something good. Somewhere with good French Onion Soup, maybe? I was thinking about checking out one of the two French Bistros that Baltimore has to offer.

Okay, time to get off my ass and get moving for work. Gotta get dressed and all that jazz. Everyone have a wonderful Saturday! I hope you get to do something fun!
