Sunday morning and I've already been productive. I got up at 6 and trudged upstairs to put together my new shopping cart. Then, it was off to the farmer's market, where I got a bunch of produce and some meats. It has been ferried in, and is now sitting on the counter, waiting for me to get the energy to clean out the fridge.
Later, I'll take my sister to do laundry, and then game this evening. Which for me, is a full day.
Not as busy as yesterday, though. As planned, I took Jess to their acupuncture appointment, and then we ran down to Greektown and had a lovely brunch. My custard and honey topped french toast was excellent, but the real star was the pork skewer I had with it. It was just so good. The meat was moist and was seasoned just right. After we finished, we got a some carryout for later snacking. All in all, it was amazing, and I was thrilled.
Then, it was back home to prepare for the first of two games. I love Odyssey of the Dragonlords, but it's a game where the DM is doing a lot of heavy lifting. Lot of role play, lot of lore to work in. And my players have all come up with intricate, amazing backstories that I want to weave in. So all in all, it's a bit of work. I'm thinking in the future, I would hesitate to have an evening game, because I was tired out. Fortunately, the night game is just a light fun romp with undead and fiends.
And now, I'm going to drink some coffee and possibly have a peach. Everyone have a wonderful Sunday!
