Just returned from seeing Freddy vs. Jason. Yes, I do have questionable taste, why do you ask. Had planned a big day, going down to see
tiadawn for lunch. Then, my car went all hosebeast again and we had to cancel. Went home instead, let it sit, and got it over to the very kind man at Bob Davidson Ford, who will look into it and call us. There was some mumbling about a problem with Focus's fuel pumps, which makes sense, considering the way the car behaves. God, I hope the extended warranty covers that.
So, once we did that, we headed out in Jess' car to see Freddy vs. Jason. I'm going to try very hard not to spoil it for anyone, but I just have to say...Oh, kick ass! I love this one, from start to blood soaked finish.
We saw it with a good crowd, who cheered the kills and rooted for their favorite through the whole thing without being obnoxious. A lot of good startle-jump moments, and even better, a really well-thought out movie. Freddy was totally badass, and much fun was had.
And I have to say, the last five seconds of the movie had me totally shrieking in delight. Just perfect.
Now, I will go eat something, and hope that either tonight, or tomorrow, they'll call me to say that the car is fixed. If they don't find anything wrong with it, I swear, I'll cry.
We also have to hit the Turning Wheel for Jess' pentacle. We were going to check out Bell, Book and Candle, but they've apparently gone out of business. Booya. Nice to know karma still works.
