Today, it's back to work I go. At least I feel like I had an actual weekend this time. After the success of the Frostmaiden game, we decided to go out for a movie. After some discussion, we found Meg 2: The Trench at the Cinemark Egyptian Movies at 1:35pm. The timing worked out perfectly, which was nice. We made it there with no issues whatsoever, and were in our seats by 1:20. At 1:55, as the previews were finishing up, they brought us our popcorn and pretzel bites with cheese, and we settled in for two hours.
The movie was utterly ridiculous. But hey, Jason Statham sure is nice to look at, as was Wu Jing. The plot was silly, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm a simple woman. Give me big sharks and implausible physics and I'm right there with you. Throw in a giant octopus, and I'll do a little bounce in my seat.
So yes, the movie is objectively terrible. But, it was well acted, and let me turn off my brain for two hours, so it was subjectively awesome. Terri-awesome? I had a good time at least!
Afterwards, my back was peeved, so when we got home, I popped a muscle relaxant and curled up under the covers for a snuggly, over affectionate nap.
Okay, and now, I need to think about getting myself together for work. Everyone have a wonderful Sunday!!
