The weekend never lasts long enough. It was a lovely weekend, full of games and friends and I would have liked another day or so.
I continue to obsess over the work presentation. Now I'm debating transitions between the powerpoint slides. I feel like they might be slightly tacky, but as
poisontaster pointed out, executives love that shit, so I probably will do a slide or fade transition from slide to slide. My coworker J is out today, so I'm going to be doing his markets, but once I'm done, I will probably be working on the presentation some more.
The thing is, I don't know what the point of this meeting really is. Does a big boss just want to know what all the departments do, or is this a "justify your job" meeting? With the whole reorganization, everything has been kind of up in the air for us, and I don't know if this meeting is just a "getting to know you" or a "why do we need you?" Not that I think my employment is in danger, but I don't know if they're going to try to reorganize us back on the phone. So, y'know. Pressure.
Our games yesterday went very well. MotW was bonkers as usual. My chaos gremlins came ready to thwart any potential problems for this faerie christening, y'all. The particular make up of this group is awesome, and after nearly 3 years, they slot together like a well-oiled machine of chaos.
The second was the Frostmaiden game, which is my second longest running game at 2 1/2 years. For that, we finished a battle, and set out on a daring rescue! Once that was done, they explored the tower of Necromancy, and found the next line to the rite to get into the endgame spire of doom.
At this point, I'm figuring maybe another 3 sessions to finish up the main plot of the module, then another few to tie up the back plots? Then we'll probably take a little break while I figure out where to send them next, since the players emphatically want to continue playing their god tier characters, and that is going to take some plotting.
Today after work, I shall play as a squishy druid in
poisontaster's game!
Okay, I suppose I have to consider getting ready for work now. That is a thing I must do this morning, boo. Everyone have an amazing Sunday!
