beansideProbably a short one today. Got caught up in ordering stuff to take care of dad. No one ever tells you that you'll be looking at diaper cream comparing the relative merits.
He's been in a pretty good mood for the last few days. I know he's glad to be home, but it's making me wonder if he's had a low-level UTI for a long time, because the change in personality is pretty major. There's been a minimum of being annoying or assholish, which is such a nice change.
Yesterday, I took 3 hours off in the morning to deal with his shiny new housecall doctor. I really liked the new doctor. He was kind, and very thorough. Dad really liked him. Said he was an "Old Timey Doctor-the kind who took their time with the patient." The new home health nurse was a bit judgey, but hopefully, she won't be back. It's going to be a busy month. We've got home health, social work, PT, OT and nursing coming in. His PT eval may be today, which should be interesting. I'll be curious to see where they thing he's at, and how much they can' improve him.
And tonight, we have our first game since he got home from the hospital. I'm not DMing, so that should be easier.
Tomorrow, it's back to the office. I'm anxious about leaving Jess alone to deal with dad. They'll do great--I'm probably more nervous than they are.
It seems like things are starting to settle down into a routine, thankfully. It'll be hard to find the rhythm with the home health people coming and going, but we'll get there.
Okay, time to go forth and get myself together. Everyone have a wonderful Wednesday!
