It is way too early to be awake on a Saturday, but the cat demanded, so here I am. We played a touch later than usual, and despite it only being half an hour extra, I am feeling it. Or maybe it's just that I was woken out of a sound sleep by a cat walking across my face. Let me tell you a paw (and the associated claws on your cheekbone will wake you up pretty fucking fast. I tried to go back to sleep, and she waited, then jumped on my stomach with all of her 15lbs. Then, she started batting a pill bottle lid around the floor next to me, just to be certain that I wouldn't go back to sleep again. I gave up and got up to feed her and now she is happily laying on her cat tree napping. I may go over and wake her up just to see how she likes it.

CONfab is in 2 weeks! I'm starting to get excited about my panel and game! I was writing out my shameless self promotion tweet yesterday and realized that I actually do have a pretty good grasp on what I want to talk about after all. Of course, three seconds after I posted the tweet, my lovely supportive sister retweeted it to her 1000+ followers. I was simultaneously touched and horrified. She's not in fandom, y'all. She's in the "slagging on the former Cheeto in chief and his cult members" fandom. So, 1000+ people who will jump in on anything got my tweet. I...have no clue what to think about that. We'll see!

Today is going to be a mostly quiet day. We're going to go get lunch at a local crab shack, and then we'll stop and pick up Jess books from the library. Then, we shall come home and wait for game time. Tonight's game is Grammy's Country Apple Pie, which seems like it could be fun. It's very, very much a choose your own adventure, so I'm curious to see what my players will do with it.

Last night's Frostmaiden game got both farther than I expected, and simultaneously not quite as far. There are two boss battles I'm looking forward to, which they sadly did not reach yet. They did make it through two towers of magic and the library, I'd been kind of expecting the first tower to take longer, but the party is ridiculous, and made it through two. The library fulfilled all their dreams, as it contained everything ever written on it's shelves and a librarian who could copy any scroll, book or manuscript magically for permanent check out. The parties bags of holding are now full of various books.

Yesterday was fairly productive overall. I got dressed early and decided to go to the Amish Market for meats for the week. SO much meat, I could barely carry my freezer bag. I also got steak and cheese stuffed pretzels, which made an excellent lunch, and some baked goods.

I forgot to mention, I finally watched Shazam: Fury of the Gods on the pirate site. It was actually pretty good. Sadly, the titular character is the weakest part of the movie, but the rest of the cast was stellar. Lucy Liu and Helen Mirren were really chowing down on the scenery, and seemed to be having a lovely time. The site I use is gomovies dot sx. Must use a VPN with it.

Tomorrow, it will be back to work, with my half year review to look forward to on Monday. It'll be fine, my boss has already told me that I'm getting Exceeds on it, but I hate those things.

Okay, going to get some more coffee and maybe a cinnamon roll. Have a wonderful Saturday everyone!
