This was our view as we headed to the boat dock for our last day in the Magic Kingdom.

This was the best kind of vacation, I think. I cried when I left, but I'm also happy to be home. I'm relaxed and happy. I was afraid that I'd be really depressed after a full year of build up, but I'm really not. We had too much fun to be sad.

My only tiny disquiet is that it's been so long planning this trip that I'm not sure what to do with myself now. I don't want to be that person who natters about vacation forever, so I'm trying not to spam people with pictures or wax rhapsodic about the Polynesian Resort. Well, except y'all. I'll probably post a few more pictures here, fair warning.

I went back to work yesterday to find that nothing had been done while I was away. My reports had shit from 2/2 on them. I did a LOT of cancellations. I don't let them sit for more than 4-5 days, so I was much displeased. Even so, it only took me til about lunchtime to whip them into shape, so that wasn't bad.

Afterwards, I went over to the hospital to visit dad. He was in A Mood. The hospital isn't doing enough rehab, the food is bad, the staff doesn't know how to fill his CPAP machine, all they do is test him and give him medicine. They should be doing PT. I gently pointed out that they did have him up walking around his room, and sitting up for a while. Also that he was really fucking sick and they had to stabilize that first. I didn't want to scare him by pointing out that if either of those blood clots had migrated, he could have had a massive stroke, or died, but I was a little frustrated.

The rehab called, and confirmed that he is scheduled to be delivered to them today, so that's good. Hopefully, this time he'll actually put in the work. I'm okay if we need the wheelchair to get him in and out, but it would be good if he can walk around the house.

I have a couple of packages due to come, hopefully this week. I got two more pairs of Minnie ears (and some display racks) and a book of all of our pictures from Disney. I got the Minnie ears that match Jess' very gay Mickey ears, and our resort ears, which they were totally out of at our resort.

One of our souvenirs didn't make it home intact, so the replacement is coming via shopdisney, but that's okay. They'll probably pack it better for shipping than I will.

Okay, time to get myself together for work. Our clean laundry came back, so I have a choice of what leggings/bike shorts to wear. It's awesome. Everyone have a wonderful Wednesday!
