beansideWe've almost made it to the end of 2022! As I've seen online, everyone progress into 2023 slowly and quietly and don't touch anything. Maybe it won't notice that we're there.
Yesterday, I adulted a bit. I went to the Motor Vehicle Administration and presented the (What felt like) 800 documents to get my Real ID, which will be mailed to me. Once I'd gathered all the shit they wanted, it was basically painless. Thankfully, MD has switched to an appointment system. I got a text 20 min before my appointment, checked in and five minutes later, I was on my way, $48 poorer.
Then, for the afternoon, I went to Trader Joes to pick up a few appetizers for NYE. Holy shit y'all. The parking lot is usually a challenge, but I swear, it was the fifth circle of hell. It was SO busy. I got my shit and got out as quick as humanly possible.
Once that was done, I cam home and relaxed until game time. Too Many Draculas was fun as hell, and I really loved the characters everyone created for this "one shot". (Two shot.). We had a junior detective, her cryptid seeking sister, and their emotional support were-border collie. It was awesome, and I thoroughly enjoyed the junior detective's slow realization that the weirdest thing in the world wasn't the dog,
Today, we have another monster of the week, this time the Chaos Gremlins. It's going to be a very loose game, as I've written all of three paragraphs for the game. I'm going to try to write a little more, but we'll see! Fortunately, with this crew, I can get away with this.
I've got work tomorrow, so I will not be seeing the ball drop. I plan to be in bed early and watching my eyelids by the time midnight rolls around. I'm kind of hoping for rain tonight, so the idiot neighbors can't set off their fireworks to scare the dog.
Okay, time to get to work on both my MotW game and setting up posts for tomorrow for Confabulation.
