Blessed Solstice to all who celebrate! May the coming light bring joy and hope to you and yours.
Effective this morning, we have paid of Disney! Good lord that was expensive. Hopefully totally worth it, but I had a moment of cringe before I hit that submit button. Now it's paid and we're at 44 days, and we're going to go and have fun, dammit. This weekend, I'm going to get our clothes together and see if we need to buy anything before the trip. I'm pretty sure we're okay on tops, but I'm not sure about leggings or underwear or bras. Hopefully, the weather is going to behave, and we're going to be taking it slow, so we shouldn't be too brutal on our clothes.
I believe that we're going to be renting a scooter while we're there. Jess has been having a LOT of pelvic pain (probable endometriosis), and I don't think they're going to be up to a ton of walking. We'll trade off sitting as they feel up to it. If my knee acts up, we may be doing two scooters. We shall see.
Work yesterday was boring, but steady. My big NDR came in relatively early, so I worked that, which will leave me with not a whole lot to do today, but oh well. Our manager called us at around 3:45 to see if we'd like to help out in another dept. Which I'll be doing on Thursday. It's supposed to be an ongoing thing, but considering the sheer # of people who are out between the holidays, I'm going to be covering a lot in our department, so I'm not sure how that is going to work next week.
Today should be a quiet day for the most part until tonight when we have
poisontaster's excellent Monster of the Week game, RV There Yet.
I don't really want to go into the office on Thursday. They still haven't got the temperature regulated very well, so I'll definitely need a sweater. Also, it's just supposed to be a gross day. Rain the whole day, ew. But, seeing as I don't have that much PTO, it's just going to happen. Next week, when my Holiday Pay restocks, I'll be able to take a little time off. For all it's faults, and right now there are many, they're incredibly generous with PTO, giving us over 5 weeks/year. This is making it possible to take two weeks off for Disney and still have some left over.
Okay, I suppose it's time to get ready for work now. Everyone have a lovely Wednesday (ugh, only Wednesday?)
