And it's Saturday, the last day of my three day weekend! Alas! We have D&D at 12, so I've been doing some prep work for that, rereading the next few chapters of the module. and deciding once and for all who the villain of the piece is going to be. I think, considering the art for the module, if I don't go one particular way, my players would be let down, so I'ma go with that.
If we both feel up to it after the game, we may go see the new Knives Out movie, because I really don't want to wait til December 23rd. If either or both of us don't feel well after the game, I certainly will, but I'd really like to see it.
Yesterday was a mostly chill day. We didn't do a lot, one trip out to try a new bakery/cafe near us. Meringue was very good and had some wonderful pastries. Next time I'd like to go for lunch. They had French Onion soup, and I am sorry that I didn't get it. We got these enormous chocolate meringues that were excellent, but a little too sweet for me, and fruit tarts that were much more to my taste. They were all very pretty and delicious.
Then, it was time for dad watching while my sister went out to visit friends. It was fine, though he got kind of annoying around bedtime, but at least that was short.
We watched the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, which was a tiny warm hug of a story. It made me actually laugh, and forget how much I hate Chris Pratt for minutes at a time. Seriously, just a sweet movie. The end made me wibble a little. I'm sure the next actual movie will commence with ripping my heart out repeatedly when it comes out next year.
After that, it was onto random surfing and kind of fussing over Disney. We're getting so close, down to 69 days, but there's absolutely nothing I can do right now. I can't make my dining reservations for another 9 days, I can't start packing because realistically we have no idea what the weather's going to be like. All I can do is watch videos about the various restaurants and things to know about the park. It's making me very twitchy. I just want it to hurry up. But first I have to get through the holidays and other stuff.
I was weak while I was surfing, looking at dresses for the big fancy dinner. I was leaning towards getting something from Eshakti, since I'd be able to rewear that, but instead, I saw this at Kiyonna and fell in love. The metallic sheen means it's definitely not a work dress, but I just loved it. I may get one of the other dresses for work, since the tattoo is definitely not going to be up to jeans in less than a week, and we're not allowed to wear shorts. (Also, it's going to be fucking February.). Now, I just need to find some comfortable flats to wear with it, which can be a difficult task.
I do want to go to the local specialty shoe place and get Jess and I fitted for walking shoes. The ones I have right now are definitely the wrong size. I have wide ass boat feet, so it can be a challenge to find shoes that fit.
Okay, time for me to go forth and have more coffee. I'm going to need it to DM properly. Everyone have a wonderful Saturday!
