beansideI'm freeeee! Yay! Jess got up for Dad, so I got to sleep in until 8, which felt especially luxurious. I'm a little achy today for no apparent reason. My knee has been acting up, which is deeply annoying. I want to start walking to get ready for Disney, and it's fucking with that. I don't think there's anything really wrong with it, it's just that I'll be fifty in less than a month, and my joints are not in factory condition.
Yesterday at work was a shitshow. The heat was not working properly, so we all were freezing. Being my team, they bitched mightily. Even I complained, which is not usual for me, but my feet and hands were utterly freezing. I finished all my shit, and moved on to pending, only to find out that we had two people who were going to help us out, and I would be training them.
As I was finishing up training them, word came down that we were going to be allowed to go home, just sit tight and they would dismiss us in groups. We all waited, and ten minutes later, word came down that no, we were not being dismissed, the temperature had gone up two whole degrees, so we were going to have to sit and suffer. (The temp did go up a bit, but it seemed to go up and down the rest of the day.). As soon as we were told that we were stuck, people started leaving. Usually via an "I'm out of here." gif dropped in chat. By the time I left, there were 4 people left out of 22. I didn't want to use my time, so I stuck it out. J got pulled into a room for being a bit of a jerk to our manager's manager as well as our manager, but I totally understand where he was coming from. Not sure what the people who jumped ship via gif will be getting. Again, I understand their annoyance, but it also wasn't the most professional thing.
Then, it was home to jump in a boiling hot shower and under the covers to finish warming up.
Today, I have absolutely nothing planned except a little bit of D&D prep, and maybe some youtube crawls, until tonight when we have the Frostmaiden game. It's my only game this weekend, which is very rare. Next week, we have no games, which is going to feel very strange.

Date: 2022-11-18 07:35 pm (UTC)you know, there are usually state regulations on working conditions, and providing heat is one of them. you might check to see what the minimum temp is in the winter - and if they can't maintain the heat to that standards, you should be able to WRF home without penalty
