beansideIt's Tuesday, which means it may, possibly, could be gas day! It's a nice cold, clear day, so I see no reason why they wouldn't show up, so hopefully the odyssey is at an end. Honestly, if they don't show up, I'm probably going to jail, because I'm tired of getting jerked around. This is the fourth attempt. I understand not being able to do it while we were dealing with the leftovers of Hurricane Ian, but the other two days are a little annoying.
Dad also has a virtual doctor's appointment at 1, since my sister told me on Sunday that he's out of his pain meds today. So, I'll do the visit and then go over and pick up the prescription. With all that to do, I went ahead and took the day off. I hate to use the time, but I also didn't want to make Jess do everything.
Yesterday was deadly dull. I poked at the Pending queue, did the couple of markets that came in, and generally was bored. Tomorrow, at least I'll have my markets to do, so that'll be something.
I did make a nice dinner, at least. Baked BBQ pork chops, and roasted acorn squash with brown sugar and butter. I don't know what we're doing for dinner tonight, since I didn't pull out anything from the freezer. Also, I don't really know how long the crew will be here, if they show.
I'm hoping that this evening, when my sister gets home, Jess and I can take the bedframe down and maybe put that together. It's been kind of tough having the mattress on the floor. I'm going to be 50 in two months, and hauling ones ass off the floor is not an easy thing. It's a nice heavy duty 14" base, so between that and an 11" mattress, it should make life a little easier. Plus, they'll be room to put some boxes under the bed with extra bedding and clothes.
Oooh, we have two trucks here, so it looks like Operation: Gas Renewal is go.
That's good. The sooner they start, the sooner I can take a shower. (Though Jess gets first dibs.).
Like Charlie Brown trying to kick that football, I'm back on my bullshit. A Team Lead job posted, so after some consideration, I figured why the fuck not, and applied. We'll see how it goes.
Okay, I'm going to wrap it up, so I'm ready when they finally get out of their truck and get started. Everyone have a wonderful Tuesday!
