It's Wednesday! That means absolutely nothing in general. It means I have to take a shower so I'll be ready for the office tomorrow, and that it's not our night to put dad to bed, but otherwise, it'll probably be a quiet day. Maybe.
The coworker who applied for Knowledge Specialist like I did got an email for a "Feedback Meeting" for today. Feedback meetings generally mean that you didn't get the job. I have still not heard anything, and I'm trying to decide if that's a good thing, or if the person who did my interview is just slow sending out emails. They normally do the no answers before the yes ones, so I can't decide whether to be hopeful. I know that if I don't hear something soon, I will explode. Now that answers are starting to trickle out, I really just want to know. And, if by chance I'm a yes, I might not hear for a little while yet.
So that consumed a lot of my Tuesday. Checking my candidate portal, jumping when an email or message came in.
The rest of my day was working my markets and then playing in the pending returns queue. I loathe the pending returns queue. The dates that I'm working are almost all messed up. People set them up wrong, worked them wrong, or haven't touched them since they were made two months ago. It's just obnoxious. I'll admit, I was not working particularly quickly on it. I'd do a few cases, take a break. Do a couple more cases, take a longer break. I just was not motivated at all. Today I imagine I'll be doing it again.
We're still working on the whole Buffalo/Rochester pickup thing. One of my friends mentioned the project to a member of the working reports team, who normally set up pickups, and now she's annoyed with me that they haven't been told about things yet. Also arguing with me about the new process, which is awesome. So, I've asked my former!manager to set up a meeting so that we can explain everything. I'm going to spend a little time this morning working on a presentation and hopefully we can get shit set up so I stop getting annoying messages. Technically, I shouldn't have to worry about this, but IKEA moves at the speed of mud when it comes to communicating through official channels and the longer we let this go, the more work it's making for former!manager's team and also for me.
Okay, guess I should wrap this up and get myself together. Everyone have a good Wednesday!
