Somehow, Monday has arrived! It's supposed to rain all day, so I'm really hoping that they're still able to do the gas line. I woke up with a bit of a headache, so I'm not looking forward to the process, because you can bet that the dog is going to be loud. Hopefully, they'll be able to get it all done, and we'll be good to go. And hopefully, by 5 or so, we'll be able to take a nice hot shower. Fingers crossed at least.
If they reschedule, I probably won't be able to take off that day, so I'm really hoping they're able to get everything done today. But for today, I am free! Might try to watch the episode of Bake Off we forgot about on Friday. Kind of depends on how much noise they're making, and what time they get done. The very nice guy who was here last week said 6 hours, so hopefully they'll be done by 2. Then, an hour for the hot water heater to do its thing, and then, it's Jess' turn for a nice hot shower. We voted, and they get to go first. Then, an hour to reheat, and maybe by five, I'll be able to have one!
Yesterday was a long boring day at work. I spent most of it working the pending returns queue, which is boring as hell. It also means cleaning up the messes that the store and the transport companies have made, which annoys me. I thought I got away from that when I transferred out of casework, but apparently not.
But then, we had D&D! Our final game of Wild Beyond the Witchlight. The group explored the last bit of the castle, finding the Druid's missing sister and unfreezing her in an emotional scene! They found out the location of the missing alicorn and made plans to go rescue him. They then made their way back to the archfey Queen, frozen in time by her evil sisters. They touched her with the horn, saying her true name, and she unfroze and looked at them shrewdly. In return for their benevolence, she offered them the use of a Wish spell.
They decided to think on it, and went to tie up some loose ends first, freeing the alicorn and letting the stolen children know that it was safe for them to return to their families. Then, it was back to the Queen, to ask for the things that the hags stole from the patrons of the Witchlight Carnival to be returned.
Then, it was off to the Carnival, only to find that in the time that they'd been gone, it had moved to a new world from their own. They agree to stay with the carnival until it returns to their home world, and head to the feasting tent to celebrate the return of the dormant Queen!
We ended it there, making plans to return to these character for a combat epilogue, since everyone seems to want to test the characters outside the bounds of the pacifist run. I've already started plotting.
Okay, time to get ready for the nice gas people. Have a wonderful Monday!
