That fast, it's Saturday again. Glorious day with nothing planned! Which of course means that by noon I'll be restless and ready to do something, but that's okay. After a week of being pretty nice out, the temps are going back up, so if we do something, it'll be indoors.

Yesterday was okay. Spent most of it working myself into a lather about not hearing about the job. Which I still haven't. I know, they said next week most likely, and my one coworker who had an interview for another of the jobs was told two or so weeks and that was a week after mine, so it may be longer. I guess it depends how "motivated" they really are. I will be sad if I don't get it, but I just kind of want to know. Waiting is not something I'm particularly good at. A week or so removed from my interview, I feel like it went pretty well. The interviewer said she liked a couple of my answers, though that could just have been a verbal tic. And I know I made points by mentioning the system that I would like to see utilized again, because it's something that impacts our bottom line. We also had a nice chat after the interview was done, where I discussed switching my extra-curricular volunteer role from Equality, Diversity & Inclusion to Coworker Engagement, because I feel like that's something IKEA is lacking right now.

Aside from that, we didn't do a whole lot. Struggled with scheduling for upcoming games, because 1. People have real lives and 2. I have way too many games running right now. I think it's going to be a little while before I can start another game, even a one shot, because I am really over-scheduled, and I don't want it to affect the games we already have.

Eventually, it was time for our once-monthly game of Curse of Strahd. The characters are all such little disaster babies and I love them. Half the characters aren't optimized for combat, and it's awesome. They're such a fucked up little bunch. Strahd continued taunting them as they left town with his marked bride. He made a bit of a power play and tried to charm her, but the party immediately cast hold person on her so she couldn't go to him. Then, the monk set him on fire, and the rogue pickpocketed him, finding a lot of money in those pockets.

Some of that money was used to buy horses and wagons from the Vistani who'd helped them earlier, then they were on their way. As they came over a mountain pass, they found a dilapidated old windmill, and decided to look around, sending the wizard's familiar, a small snake in to scout. They found the old woman from yesterday, making more of her dream pastries. Piles of little humanoid bones littered the floor around her. A fight ensued, and her daughters came down to join the fray. This is where it being a big party was helpful. The hangs hit hard, but could only hit one at a time. Remarkably, everyone survived.

They decided to sleep in the windmill and found two children locked in cages, who's parents had sold them for dream pastries. They immediately decided to keep the kids with them and run an adoption agency in Vallaki. We left it there, with them settling in for a long rest.

next up, Vallaki. I'm sure nothing bad will happen in this barricaded town!

Okay, I am going to put on. pants and have some more coffee. Everyone have a wonderful Saturday!
