Sunday means back to work, and I don't wanna. Oh well, at least it's only a half day. I took off early to play D&D. Which probably sounds like a wasteful use of PTO, but honestly, it makes me happier than most things. Or maybe it doesn't sound at all weird, and I'm just projecting. That's a pretty good possibility too.

At least there should be stuff for me to do for at least the first couple of hours of work, so that's something. Then, I can spend half an hour doing my PTO for Disney, so that takes me up to at least my first break, or maybe even a little beyond! Maybe at some point, I can write the backstory for my character for today's game. I meant to do it yesterday, but then I got sidetracked by prepping for yesterday's game.

Aside from said game, the most exciting thing I did was make slow cooker beef stew. It turned out pretty good. It cooked on low for nearly 10 hours, so the meat was extra tender and the brown gravy mix gave it a nice flavor. I think next time, I may use reduced sodium broth and gravy mix to cut back, since dad thought it was a little salty, but otherwise, it was very tasty.

That's not true. We also got Chinese food from a new place and it was amazing. Jess had something called Taiwan Three Cup chicken, which had cloves of garlic in it and had the best sauce. I had honey vinegar beef ribs that were amazing. I was very happy with it, and would definitely go back.

Dad was very fussy yesterday. I don't know if he was having a bad pain day or what. Then, right after we'd started game, he missed the urinal, and Jess had to go help him change, putting themselves on mute. After that, Jess decided to skip the rest of the game so they could keep a close eye on him, just in case. Of course, after that, he settled down a bit. So that sucked for them. I offered to cut the game short, since we both tend to freak out when he gets fussy, worrying about him, but they insisted that we should continue without them.

The game was mostly set up, honestly, so if they were going to miss a game, this was the one.

In this one, the players decided to go with an upfront method of going into the goblin cave. They walked right in and negotiated. The goblin chief, who happens to be a bugbear, Klarg offered to give them the elf they'd captured, as long as the party killed his rival. The party went planning to help the rival escape, but when she saw them coming, she dangled the elf over a cliff, and threatened to drop him. The party quickly dealt with her, and went back to tell the bugbear that they'd neutralized the threat to his regime. In return they got directions to the goblin fortress.

Then it was off to the town, where they picked up some plothooks. One of said plothooks showed up, the Redbrand Ruffians came into the tavern where they were having dinner and started hassling the waitress. A battle ensued, and the party came out on top! We ended the session there, as the plot hooks and layout of the town had taken the full 3 hours.

Okay, time for me to go to work. Everyone have a wonderful Sunday!
