Friday was kind of a bust. The lawn people emailed me to say they were coming, so we didn't want to start something and have to stop. They didn't show up until close to five, and then it was just for the workers to assess what needed to be done. The real work will happen today. So that was a little annoying.

Hopefully, the work will be done early so the dog isn't stuck on bark o'clock the entire day. Still, it'll be nice to have things looking good for a change.

Spent most of yesterday piddling around online. I'm a member of a few Disney Facebook groups, and OMG the urge to burn them all to the ground is strong. People come in asking the dumbest questions that five minutes of google will get you ten videos about. I haven't been to Disney since I was fucking three, but I put in the research! Don't just come to a community and be all "explain X to me! I'm new!" I know, people have varying degrees of tech savvy, but damn people. Google is your friend. Then of course, there are people spamming the comments here and there about how they're boycotting the groomer organization. Which, wow. It boggles my mind.

On the plus side, less MAGA idiots at Disney when we go! Yay! Plus, it's Disney. They can take the hit.

I didn't realize until I started planning how very much I wanted this vacation. I love theme parks, and Disney is kind of the epitome of that. I also didn't realize how much I needed something to look forward to until I'd put the deposit on the hotel and got the Magicbands. It unknotted something to have tangible proof that we were planning this. Every so often I go on the Disney site and peek at our reservations when I need a little pick me up.

The other day, Sam threw up twice and just seemed off for a couple of days. I called the vet to see if we could get him in, but the vets are on vacation and they couldn't get him in for a couple of weeks. He seems to have perked up, but I'm still worried. He's almost 20, and there's been the feeling since he was diagnosed with the hyperthyroid that we're on borrowed time. I'm not ready for that at all. I'm still taking him to the vet in two weeks. He needs a recheck on his thyroid anyway. For now, he's eating and drinking and going to the bathroom, so it seems okay. I'm just terrified that I'm going to miss the "signal" that it's time.

I think that's it for today. Gotta get myself together so if the lawn people come early I'm decent. Have a good Saturday everyone!
