beansideAnd it's Thursday! Also my early day! C'mon 4pm! I slept for utter shit, and am just cranky and achy this morning. Some ibuprofen and coffee will help, but for right now, my sister's chattiness and the drone of the TV are like sandpaper. I just kind of want to sit here quietly and wait for said ibuprofen and coffee to kick in.
Yesterday was a long day. No markets until late in the afternoon, plus a long Equality, Diversity & Inclusion meeting. It was objectively only an hour, but since the majority of us had our laptops, it meant being on camera. I have totally lost the ability to modulate my face over the last two years. I spent the whole meeting trying not to roll my eyes. Plus, I had to change clothes and put on a bra so I looked presentable for the meeting.
Then, during the meeting, proving that there's still work to be done, one of my coworkers referred to Asian countries as "Ori****l" which made me visibly wince. Fortunately before I could chime in, one of my coworkers not so gently corrected her. Just holy shit, who still thinks that's acceptable?
Today, I'll have a few extra things to do, as a coworker who I sub for is out, so I'll have his markets in addition to mine. It shouldn't take that much longer to do them, I don't think. He keeps his list in good shape.
I want all the stuff I've bought to arrive! it's shipping at a normal rate, I'm just impatient as hell. I'm too used to one or two day shipping. Supposedly, our meat should arrive today, though it's still in Pennsylvania, so we'll see. My Magic bands have made it to Baltimore, but not the Parkville office, so I don't think they're coming today either. *sigh*
Okay, time to start off this day, I suppose. Gotta get myself in gear. Have a great Thursday everyone!
