beansideIt's Wednesday! Which means I only have another 2 days of work! Yay, we've passed hump day!
I haven't been waking up at 4 lately. Instead, I wake up around 5:30 when my sister starts moving around. Which means that I'm taking my Rybelsus a little late, and then have to wait to have my coffee. It's a little annoying. Today I was especially late, almost 5:40, so I stayed in bed until 6:15 so I didn't have to sit there waiting. I also had a Boodle kitty coming in to visit with me, so it was nice. I could have stayed there a lot longer, but alas, work calls.
Yesterday, I had a nasty sugar drop. I was bringing Jess a plate of food, and suddenly had a nasty dizzy spell. I handed her the plate (apparently very shakily) and sat down quickly. My sugar wasn't that low, but I had also just eaten, so I think it was in the progress of coming back up. I had a Sprite, and that seemed to help, but as per usual after a low sugar event, I felt kind of shaky and shitty all night.
On the plus side, the chicken breasts from Good Chop were very good. I marinated them in soy and sweet chili sauce, and they turned out very nice. I still have two to cook, as I didn't get around to it after the sugar crash. I'll probably throw them in with a little butter and salt/pepper. So far, Good Chop continues to be very good. Next month I'm trying some of the more interesting cuts of meat, like some ribeye steaks and shrimp. Jess doesn't really like shrimp, so I'm going to have to make sure I have something for them. I've really been craving good shrimp scampi lately.
For the first time, Walmart fucked up our order, so I'm on with chat in the other tab, seeing what they can do about it.
