beansideAnd somehow, it's already Sunday again. Time to go back to work. Ew. I need to consider taking a Sunday off soon, so I have a three day weekend. I could use three days of sleep. Maybe one of the weekends we have D&D all weekend. Maybe I'll take Monday off, too. That could be nice. I've got the time, since we just had our holiday pay front loaded (We get normal PTO that accrues, and also 72 hours of holiday pay. Theoretically, it's supposed to be used for things like Presidents Day or what not, but in practice, it's just more time off. I end up with over 5 weeks of vacation, so I can stand to use a little bit of it in March, maybe. I'm a little paranoid about using the holiday pay up at once, but it's use it of lose it, so I might as well.
I did not want to get up today. I was awake and all, but just didn't feel like dragging out of bed. It was close to 6:10 before I finally came upstairs. Sundays, I have to make my own coffee, which is annoying. During the week, my sister gets up before me, so I just have to feed the cats, and the coffee is waiting. Plus side, I can make it the way I like--extra strong.
Yesterday was productive. I went and got Sam's thyroid med, and picked up Chinese food and desserts on the way. By the time we got back, my Torrid package had arrived, and I now have two very pretty tops. One is a red strappy sleeve top, and the other is a chiffon top that I will have to wear a cami with, but I loved the color so much . I think with these acquisitions, I'm pretty much ready to go back to work part time. I'll have enough tops to not have to cycle through for at least two months with going one day per week.
The meat delivery came around 2, and consisted of some very, very frozen meat. I'm not sure the pork butt roast is going to be big enough for all of us, so that will definitely be cooked with some potatoes and veggies in the slow cooker. The rest of the meat looks lovely, and was still frozen solid from the dry ice, so no worries there. I tossed the salmon into the fridge, and am hoping it thaws enough to have tonight. If not, we have chicken pot pies I can cook, and save the salmon til tomorrow.
After that, I realized that I forgot to go to IKEA to get the dill mustard sauce I wanted to put on the salmon, so I put clothes back on, and headed over there. It was psycho busy even at 5pm, but since I was only going to the Swedish food mart, it wasn't too bad. I just slipped in the out doors and headed directly to the food mart/bistro. I of course, ended up picking up nearly $40 of stuff, as I had to get some chocolate, some pear cider and some sour gummies for Jess. After that, it was another quick trip to get dinner, and I was done for the day. Of note, I still need to take the Comcast shit back. I've been hardcore procrastinating on that, and I really need to get it done.
Tonight is the Witchlight D&D game, so that'll be fun! Something to look forward to after work.
