Saturday! Yay! Today is the day to do stuff! First up, we have a trip to the dispensary to get more cannabis supplies for Jess, then it's off to Petsmart to pick up an order of cat food. Because the cats have gotten very picky and only want the bougie food. Sam is currently refusing to eat his Friskies salmon that I gave him this morning. Apparently, it must be Tiki Cat. Then, it will be off to Petco to get the expensive high calorie gel. Because he doesn't like the one they have at Petsmart. However, they didn't have his expensive food at Petco. It's a pain in the rear, but oh well.

Yesterday, we did't do a whole lot. I put on clothes and went to pick up our lunch, but aside from that, it was a very quiet day.

Ordered dinner from Das Bierhalle which was very tasty, and then it was time to play D&D!

Our heroes were coming off successfully convincing the town of Bremen to make friends with their scaly lake monster problem, and they'd were planning tourist attractions around him. A quick stop at the town jail to chat with the Zhentarim spy they'd found in their investigations in Targos gave them very little further information. They want to take over the potentially lucrative area.

Then, it was onto Lonelywood, where a white moose was terrorizing the loggers. A stop at the local tavern revealed a star struck fan of the fighter, who was an opera singer in a previous life. The fighter, not wanting this revealed, informed him that he was mistaken, and left the premises. The rest of the party dissuaded him from following.

They spent the night at the house of the town Speaker, and were treated to good food, and a little more information about the quest. Then, it was time to set out to find a moose. The cleric found hoofprints relatively quickly, and they began to follow. But they were being followed as well, by the star-struck fan. The fighter admitted that she was indeed the famous singer, and the NPC wizard followed it up with a Modify Memory spell, so he'd forget that he saw her.

After some backstory discussion, it came out that the fighter had fought a duel with some nobleman and killed/badly wounded them. Now, with a bounty out for her in Waterdeep, she'd fled to the Ten Towns for refuge.

After this heart to heart, they see something white moving among the trees, but it's not their white moose. It's a banshee! Roll for initiative. The banshee lets loose a wail that knocks the halfling rogue and the NPC wizard down to 0 hit points immediately. The team begin to beat the unholy hell out of the creature that dared to hurt the rogue. They get the rogue and wizard on their feet, and the banshee wails again, and the wizard goes down again. After another round, the banshee goes down, leaving behind only some spectral goo.

Some healing is done, and they continue following the moose tracks. This leads to a grand elven tomb, replete with three sarcophagi and a large white moose! The fight doesn't last too long, but damage is dealt before the moose meets it's end. Then, it's off to explore the rest of the tomb, finding the frost druid who keeps awakening the animals. She fires of spells, but with some creative use of spells on the party's behalf, she is defeated. Her awakened shrub companion is befriended and they agree to take it to Good Mead's greenhouse where it can be warm and happy.

By that time it was running on midnight, and we closed the game there. Next week...??? I guess I'll need to be ready for anything my players come up with!

Have a lovely Saturday, everyone!

in our (dubious) defense, the lake monster was way more chill and didn't attack the boat or us. the moose immediately attacked us yelling "die" and refused to be talked down three separate times. Thea even rolled a 23 on animal handling and we had some really high persuasion rolls as well, but nope, it kept trying to murder us anyway because it'd lost its shit. I'm still trying to figure out if there was something we could've done to calm it down, but at least Skulk got some cool trophies out of it?
