It's Monday again! It's not so bad, since I'm off today to take the puppers in for his groom. God he needs it. We missed last month because we were too poor, so he desperately needs a trim. We're talking mega-furry. So, he will go get peeled into a soft, freshly washed baby who will smell good.

We're supposed to do the other sofa today, but we'll see how everyone is feeling today. Jess was having pretty bad pelvic and lower back pain yesterday, so if they are still sore, we'll probably hold off for a few more days, much as I want to get it done.

I love the beginnings of a D&D campaign. We don't even have the module yet, and won't for about a month, but my players have already started to figure out their characters. I really enjoy this part, as it starts to shape the game I'm going to run, even before the module comes out. So far, it seems like a pretty balanced party. So far, I've got an artificer who is also a woman out of time, an elven drag queen bard, a cat person Juggalo monk who can heal when they punch someone and an arcane trickster rogue. Other possibilities include a snake person druid and a fey wanderer ranger and a bunny person samurai. More detailed backstories will have to wait until the module comes out, when they can all decide whether they're the rubes the carnival is fleecing, or do they work for the carnival?

The module specifically says it can be set on any world you prefer, so I'm considering setting it an earth where other races (ala bunny people or hobgoblins) are common. I'm thinking it's a world where the old gods never fell out of favor. It's a low magic land, so most of the characters are unaware of their powers until they venture into the magical feywild carnival. It'll be tweaked once I read the module, so we shall see. Monotheistic religions are still around, but not quite as ubiquitous as they are in our world. Again, this is still all up in the air, but it's percolating in my brain.

All in all, I just love being part of an active Discord channel. All three of my games tend to be sporadically active, and it makes me happy. It means that my players are engaged in the game, which is awesome. I've come to grips with the fact that I'll never be a Matt Mercer or Alex Newall DM, but I'm a pretty good Teresa DM, and my players seem to like that, so I'm happy.

On that note, more coffee and settle in for the morning. It's weird not to have to get ready for work. Have the best Monday possible, everyone!
