It's Friday!! Yay! I have absolutely nothing planned for the next two days. Which, granted, means that I'll be pulling out my hair tomorrow being bored. But for now, it's good.
Had my meeting yesterday, which went well. My manager's only suggestion was that I need to do a little more small talk. So, I can do that (maybe). It's not really my strongest suit. I'm more of a get to the point person. But I will try. Next meeting with the other operational director is on Monday, so I'll give it a shot.
Last night, I came down with a massive migraine, the kind that had me crying because it hurt so much. Did not appreciate it at all. It's still tender today but much improved.
I've reached the point in vacation planning where I'm somewhat convinced that something is going to happen that we can't go. It's a normal part of planning for me, as there's always a part of me convinced that we can't have nice things. It comes directly after the planning is done, and will probably persist until we're checking into the hotel--maybe until we're actually in the park. Though when we're leaving it will also include the fear that something will go wrong at home while we're away, and we won't be able to get back quickly enough. Anxiety is a hell of a thing.
We are now at 48 days til vacation. It still feels like forever, but it at least looks better than 50.
In my standard overplanning style, I have now started to plot what we need to take with us food-wise. We'll have a cooler with our coffee and creamer (which is a must), but now I need to decide what else we're going to need. I was considering hitting the nearby seafood market and cooking a nice dinner, since normally it's too expensive to do it for 4 (and Dad wouldn't like it anyway), but I don't know how tired I'm going to be. Cooking might not be the best idea. I'm always happier when I have something to plot, and the rest of the vacation is pretty much set.
Okay, time to go get dressed and some more coffee. Have a good Friday, y'all!
