Today, I have my first meeting with the Portland and Las Vegas market manager to discuss why they've been sucking. I am deeply nervous about this. It's only half an hour, but my manager has made it clear that it's my meeting. Not that he'll hang me out to dry or anything, but he wants me to take the lead. I've boiled it down to three problems that we have so hopefully, that'll be enough. As I said to my coworker, I want to do this so if down the road, there's more problems with the market, my ass is covered.
Of course, because I have something important today, I woke up with a headache and my neck and shoulder hurts like a bitch. I don't know if I was positioned wrong last night, or if it's just a "hey, you're old" thing. It's annoying either way.
Jess put down the sheepskin on the table by the window, and both Boodle and Gracie have been laying on it. (Not at the same time). Boodle especially kept laying on it and flexing her little toe beans against it. It gets the late afternoon sun, so she likes to turn her belly towards the sun like a little solar panel.
My sister likes to have the news on in the morning. I don't mind the local news, but my god, the national news is depressing. It's been on for half an hour, and they've already given me Covid anxiety and climate anxiety. It is too early for this shit. Yes, the world is on fire. Thanks for the reminder.
