We've made it to Friday! *dancedance* Time to party. Or something.
My packages came yesterday, so I am the proud owner of a tactical fanny pack and a GoPro Hero3!
The fanny pack is adorable. It's big enough to fit all the shit I need, which is all I cared about. I stripped some extraneous straps from it, because I do not need an elastic lattice at the top for a water bottle or whatever. I will just buy a bottle if I want one.
Haven't really gotten to play with the GoPro because the batteries needed to charge, and I need to get an SD card for it. I find it funny that I can now get an SD card that has 500% more space than my first computer for $7.99. Younger me thought in MB, not GB. I thought it was hot shit that my first computer could play CDs, after all.
The camera came with a lot of accessories. A LOT. I don't know what half of them do yet. Seriously, there's some really funky stuff. I found the chest and wrist straps, but I don't know how the camera attaches to the chest strap yet. I will figure it out eventually! But I think for overall ease, we'll use the wrist strap mostly. The camera screws on that so it hooks securely, where as the chest it seems to just slide into place. Not sure how secure that is.
After some consideration, and talking it over with Jess, we decided to go with the condo for vacation. It'll mean we're on our own for breakfast, but we can bring some food down with us to offset the cost. Plus we'll save money on having to buy coffees. It'll come out to about $70 more, but I think it's the right choice.
Today, I shall go to the bank and to pick up an SD card, and then we shall watch Suicide Squad! Jess had a migraine last night, and staring at the screen would have hurt, so it's probably a good thing we cancelled the movie, even separate to Covid.
Tomorrow, it's back to the dump, and then Monster of the Week!
Okay, now I shall get more coffee, and then wait impatiently for MicroCenter to open so I can snag my SD card, since I only plan to make one trip out. Have an awesome Friday, everyone!
